The 18th International Conference on Cochlear Implants and Other Implantable Technologies, CI2026, will take place in Poland, in Warsaw and Kajetany. It is the world’s largest event devoted to cochlear implants and implantable technologies used in the treatment of hearing disorders. Poland will host the conference for the first time.
According to data from the World Health Organization, by 2050 around 2.5 billion people worldwide — one quarter of the global population — may have some degree of hearing loss, while more than 700 million will require treatment or rehabilitation. For this reason, the development of implantable technologies, proper patient qualification, and effective rehabilitation are becoming increasingly important elements of healthcare systems.
